Rope to wire?

Both my S2 7.9s had 5/16 halyards. That size is good for the boat. The inexpensive option is VPC. MPX or the like works too. Sheaves are fine.

I do crank on the backstay to depower upwind. The mast on my boat though does not curve much, but it does eliminate headstay sag.

I have played around with the idea of more purchase, but not sure to what end.

My hull number 68 was a 7.5 HP Evinrude, and it pushed the boat to hull speed at 3/4 speed on flat calm water. Present hull has a Nissan 4 stroke (2010 model) 6HP long shaft.
