Re: Spinnaker pole storage boom or?
At least half of the boats had them at the recent National Championship. You can get them from your sailmaker or I bought mine from Unbridledsailing.com.

Re: S2 7.9 Dedicated Facebook Group
AJ Oliver. I've begged before for others to submit articles on anything S2 7.9 related with no luck. (Cruising spots, repair tips, etc.) I am up for any other suggestions.

Air Conditioning
Has anyone figured out a good way to use a portable air conditioning unit on the 7.9? I know there used to be a unit that could be put in the hatch, but I don't think they make that anymore. Quite hot and humid on the Chesapeake to cruise and stay on the boat in the Summer. The happier the family is...

Re: racing criteria
We came up with 25kts for the National Championship as a max. Max is also location and even wind direction specific. For example, 20kts from the West in Racine, WI would be doable. However, 20 its from the East would not as the waves would be too big to get out of the harbor and for the RC boat to h...

Re: Requast from LMPHRF
"i" is not the length of the forestay, It is height above the deck of where the forestay attaches to the mast. Check out the picture: http://sailboatdata.com/rig_diagram.htm

Re: St. Pete NOOD and Sarasota One Design Regattas 2014
There are now six boats registered, which guarantees a class. There is a line in the NOR about possibly needing 12 to have your own start. Hopefully that is not the case and we will have our own start.

Re: Hoisting Centerboard out while in Water
We used to do this all the time on my Dads boat. We would then motor the boat back to the dock while we worked on it. No balance issues, just hard to steer without a board:)

Re: Requast from LMPHRF
John S. tried to call the LMPHRF contact tonight with no answer. He is going to try again tomorrow. The tentative plan will be for each boat to send the stock measurements back to LMPHRF. (As long as you have not made any modifications outside of class rules) I will post them tomorrow after we try o...
