S2 7.9 Meter Class Association

Does the rudder on the S2 7.9 kick up? Looking at the profile it appears that the rudder draws over 3 feet. With the keel retracted that would put the rudder in jeopardy of grounding if it doesn't kick up. I'm investigating retractable keel boats because my sailing venue is running out of water and ...
