Mast broke from the shoe

While dropping the mast last fall, something didn't work right, and the base of the mast pulled off of the shoe tearing out the holes in the mast. Anyone have thoughts on the best way repair this?? Could cut off the bottom of the mast, but that would affect the shrouds.

Re: Floor water leak

I've checked and its none of the things you mentioned. It is a very tiny pin hole in the center of that flat area. However!! Some days its totally dry. Go there a couple of days later and there is a puddle! and a tiny flow from the hole. Except for that spot the boat is totally dry. I didn't see any...

Floor water leak

Hey, Does anyone know what is under the floor of the compartment under the cockpit and behind the companion ladder. It looks like flat fiberglass, and I know the bottom is curved. But I have developed a pinhole in that Floor about halfway back that about that seeps a cup of water/week. The boat was ...

headliner stains

Does anyone have a good way to remove or clean the water stains from the Headliner Fabrick? Or can it be painted? I've tried various cleaners without much success.

Spinnakers

Is there a PHRF handicap rating for non spinnaker racing? I am rated at 168 with or without. Lately I am doing more shorthanded racing, and on this lake its pretty difficult to overcome the handicap if other boats in the fleet are using one.

Bottom Paint

With all the new bottom paints out there, has anyone found anything better than VC17? The water where we are, Lake Ozarks in Missouri, is probably warmer than where most of your are, but even VC17 seems to take more scrubbing to keep it clean than it used too..

Hey... When I got Grace, #92, it had Plastic Shackles on the spinnaker sheets. Are they still available? If so, where?

Re: racing criteria

Thanks Chris. That's what I was looking for. It gives me the backing I need to set a limit. We've gone out in 30+ winds, which I didn't think is fair for a mixed fleet like we have.

racing criteria

Hey.. During a club race or regatta, Who or what determines what would be the upper limit on wind speed before calling the race? And generally what would that limit be ? I know it can vary according to conditions, but what would a number be for the 7.9s? This comes up because several time last sprin...
