Keel Winch
I was thinking of mounting a cable trailer type winch on the cabin top to raise and lower the keel. This isn't intended to increase the speed of lifting but to make it easier to do short handed.

Not sure how many active 7.9 there are in Florida. Didn't make that Santa Sailfest regatta due to some scheduling problems and general lack of boats.

Santa Sailfest Lake Monroe
This regatta used to be the Kettle Cup and apparently draws 75 boats or so. I believe there are 1 or 2 7.9s on Lake Monroe and a few in SW florida. Anyone interested in getting 5 or 6 boats together for one design? I'd be interested in considering making it a OD jib and main event to make it easier ...
