Boot Stripe Polish

Can anyone confirm if the boot stripe is painted or gelcoat?
Mine is navy blue and faded and I'd like to polish it. Any advice?
The inlaid S2 7.9 logo is also a bit stained. Any advice on brining back the white gelcoat colour within the logo?
Thanks!

Re: Outboard Motor

3.5 kts at low rpm. 5 to 6 with higher throttle. This in under 2 ft waves.

Re: electrical line to mast

We have a circular inspection hatch/plate at the top of that space on the starboard side. It is hidden nicely and provides good access for running vhf and other wiring to a thru deck sealed cable gland (?).
Hope this helps.

Re: Outboard Motor

We are running a Tohatsu 6hp Sailpro.
It has been exceptional running premium fuel and more than enough.

New Forestay - Rigging Length

I'm updating my forestay for next season and am looking for some advice. The current setup includes 2 added toggles, with the total length pin to pin at 31'8" per class rules. Is there any benefit in keeping the 2 toggles, or should I just have the new forestay rigged at the longer length? Than...

Gooseneck

Could someone confirm how much play they have at the gooseneck/boom connection? Mine seems looser than I would expect, and I've noticed some minor wear. Does anyone use shims?

Re: Anyone use their boat as a cruiser?

Could you post a picture of the storage spot up in the v-bert, on the bulkhead wall that separates the v-berth from the head? I never considered using that space but it makes sense!

1/2" round should work just fine. I'll check tonight and report back.

Re: Rigging a 'new' mast, main halyard size?

My wife and I went through this a month ago. What worked for us was running paracord up the mast and pulling the 3/8 halyard down. The paracord was stitched to the last 3" of the halyard, low profile and flexible, and it was snug but easier to jam the end over the sheave. This was on the old st...

Trailer Mast Support

Can someone share the specs or basic design for a support under the middle of the mast at the mast step for trailering?
Is this support recommended / needed? I'm assuming it is. This will be my first road trip!

Thanks --
