S2 7.9 Meter Class Association

For those who do not dry sail do you keep the board up while in the slip? We have been tempted to raise the board while at dock to keep it clean but not sure if that creates too much stress on the mechanism. I heard that some have a locking pin to hold the board up but I do not see anywhere for that...
