Re: Trailers with Rollers?

Tony, Have you considered a tongue extender? My 7.9 (@last-#56) has one on the trailer and it can come in handy for the situation you describe. They could be made to any length, I believe the one that came with my trailer is about 10' long. It consists of square tubing similiar to the trailer frame ...

Dave, To answer your question LMPHRF number for j-24's last year was 168 so we spot them three. There are 8 registered but in all truth I don't know how many of these two groups ever meet-LMPHRF is such a big geographic area and many of the S-2's I listed race in fleet one, Holland, MI where in the ...

LMPHRF's number is 165 and there were 13 7.9's rated there for 2007. They (LMPHRF) are very explict about the board requirement to be in down position at all times. Could this be appealed....perhaps....but I think as has been mentioned rather than the absolute number, the number relative to other co...

In regard to the line info length I believe it can be found in the other info section here under specs-hope that helps. Good luck with the boat, as any owner would tell you they are pretty nice.

Really depends on how fussy you are-mine was pretty rough when I bought it (steel trailer), I used carpet remnants from work to redo the pads and liberal amounts of sandpaper/orbital sander and rustoleum paint, of course it doesn't look like a shop done job, but I do think it looks alot better than ...

It would be useful to check the mfg specs with regard to working load, break strength, etc. Although the harken big bullets would be a ton more free wheeling than the shaeffers if I remember correctly the SWL/Break strength on the harkens is lower due to the fact that as I recall they are using nylo...

Bernoulli cool shot, thanks for the posting! At the risk of offending the 7.9 gods, how did you like the FT10? Strengths/weakness? Will hope for soft water season for us all soon so we can send the 7.9 fleet back to business.

Although more expensive I have been very happy with my lewmar replacement hatch, I believe PYacht had the best price on it at the time.

re foredeck hatch replacement

I replaced mine on #56 (@last) this summer. I used a Lewmar Ocean series 40 (lewmar#39640050) with flat base that I got from PYacht.com for around $425 I think(they had best price). It is a little overkill for the boat as they make two other versions of the hatch (low and mid profile) which would wo...
