New Sails

I would like to buy some new sails(2?) for my boat, #99, and was wondering which maker has the best track record these days. I live in Annapolis, and I seem to have a wide choice of lofts here. Any opinions here would be helpful.
thanks,
John

Twings

I am interested in changing the way my twings work. I've seen a set up on other boats that has a bullseye forward, instead of a block on the toe rail. This ensures that the guy is close to the deck and has a good lead to the twing cleat. Has anyone tried this in the 7.9 class? Anyone got any images ...

halyard clutch

I have a spinlock clutch on my spin halyard, and the handle tends to get knock down during douses, thereby stopping the halyard off. Does anyone else have this problem? Some one suggested I go to a BIG cam cleat, but the SWL is only 500lbs for the Harken. Is this strong enough?

bottom painting

I need to paint the areas on the bottom of my boat that are covered up by the trailer bunks. Is there a way to do this other than taking it to a boatyard that has slings to hoist the boat? Has annyone ever made up their own slings?
Thanks,

solar vent

Hi,
I've recently purchased a 7.9(#99), and was interested in installing a solar vent. Is there anyplace that I should avoid installing a vent?
Thanks,
John
