Re: NOR --- It's Official

Racine will be a great place for our regatta. A week ago, last Wednesday, Holland had 11 local boats racing one design. At least half of them should make it to Racine

Re: Dagger Board Jam Cleat

Keel on Second wind has been dropped twice while on the water. Both times resulted in a seriously stuck keel. Most recently the boat had to be lifted out of the water to free the keel. D & J

Re: 2010 CCR Regatta

John, It might be worthwhile to post an open question to boats out east who have never attended a CCR as to their interest in participating at a location such as Rochester. Don & Jean

Re: Class due payment returned

Dave. After reading your post of Sep 23 I spoke with Scott Derby to find out if there had been any change in the paypal mess. He said their had been no change so you are likely to receive the same response from them as before. As Tim Bosma said it is too bad that class dues will probably not be rece...

Dave,
We have pointed this out to Scott
Derby who has been out of town on business. He set this up and promises to work on it.

Re: 2009 Rules Changes Final Draft

Tom, I kind of agree with Dave. The two turns penalty is certainly a lot more lenient than when we had to quit and go home after commiting a foul. A single turn penalty is not much of a deterent to taking a chance on a crossing. Don B.

The biggest problem we ran into was that all the weekends from July 4th thru the middle of September had been committed to other fleets or events. I think Jeff Pawlowski commented earlier that we should try to set dates a bit further in advance. If we had started 3 weeks earlier there would have bee...

The MBYC S2 7.9 fleet is enthusiasticly prepared to host the 2009 CCR Sept. 17-19. While we have enjoyed ourselves racing both the Sunfish and the JY 15 in Rochester and know that they would do an excellent job, it is important for the class to try for maximum attendance next summer. The principle a...

We have always been under the impression that any deviation from our class measurement rules (for example, headstay length of 31'8" and weight of 4600 lbs) that would make the boat faster would require a new PHRF handicap which is likely to be lower than our one design rating of 165 on Lake Mic...

Jeff, S2 7.9 sailors are strong silent types. There will be plenty of boats heading to Nashville. Look for 25 plus on the starting line.
