Re: Main Sail Clew Boom/Goose-Neck Attachment Fitting
This would be the fitting the bolt is threaded through before it goes through the piece that fits the boom to the mast bracket. (this is getting difficult, hopefully someone gets it).

Main Sail Clew Boom/Goose-Neck Attachment Fitting
Hi, Heading out to race Saturday evening the boom/goose-neck bolt lost its nut and the boom came away from the mast. We pulled up to a pier to make a repair and dropped (not sure what this is called) the receiver through which the clew is pinned to the boom/goose-neck, into the water. I am seeking a...

Re: Dacron Racing 105
Hi Dave,
Not sure I understand the reply. The sail will be rolled and stowed below. Probably will not be raised more than four or so times a year.

Dacron Racing 105
I am going to order a new 105. It is an infrequently used sail on the Gulf Coast (Houston). The sail will live on the boat, thus subjected to high heat. I am inclined to go with the racing version of Dacron versus the laminate because of the heat issue and the effect this has over time on the lamina...

Re: Mast Tuning Inversion
Dave, You are a great participant and have a wealth of information to share. This has certainly been helpful to me in learning how to repair and sail my boat. I am new to racing so I am progressing through a learning curve where even the answers take awhile to assimilate. The more I sail and maintai...

Re: Mast Tuning Inversion
I am releasing all of the backstay tension and releasing the mainsheet and boomvang while setting shroud tension. Is this correct? Also, the backstay is totally slack in the full release.

Mast Tuning Inversion
I am having trouble getting pre-bend in the mast. I have gone from inverted to about straight. With the inners relaxed I was able to get some pre-bend with the outers tensioned but lost most of it when the inners were tensioned. I started the process of tightening the outers witlh the backstay half-...

Spinnaker Pole on Deck
There is no mechanism for securing my spinnaker pole on the deck currently. We have been racing PHRF non-spin so it has not been an issue. What is the preferred way/device to "park" the pole on deck between uses?
Thanks,
George

Spreader movement
Pulling on the upper shroud I noticed that the whole spreader was moving fore and aft. Is the solution to snug the bolt, or is this indicative of some larger problem?
Thanks,
George

Re: John? RE Daggerboard rigging diagram
Hey Dave, Send me the info on the daggerboard purchase and hardware. Mine is just too tough. Also, my tang is bent a little aft and does not want to line up with the slot for pinning (also makes the hoist line feed through the sheeves at an angle) Any reccomendations? You can e-mail me at george.cus...
