S2 7.9 Meter Class Association

Anything going on yet? When I try to enter the 2012 Class Championship Regatta page I get an error say I "do not have permission to read posts on this forum" Am I missing something?

That's what I did greg, and it's held up well. I have to replace the bushings every 3 or 4 years, but that's it.

I take it into the basement, hang it on a 2 X 10. Never had a problem.

Aside from the where I'd like to get a discussion going as to when. I'd like to see us go back to the mid to late August timing that worked so well for 4 or 5 years. After Labor Day adds alot of problems to the crew situation. Kids and teachers are back in school and are not available to go sailing....

Tom, We have always stayed in the Loop. There is only 1 decent Hotel up north, a Best Western, I believe. Right across the street, but too close to Wrigley Field, never cheep. We stay in town and take the bus to the party or drive down to the under ground lot accross from CYC and walk to our hotel. ...
