we replace the OEM hatch with a Bowmar 900. 2 years later it cracked. we now have replaced it with a Lewmar series 40.

Chuck, we have windward sheeting traveler car on Hot Tamale. We also have the final block on the main sheet tackle fixed at the center of the track (as you have in the pic). We find this works good for 2 reasons: 1. the helmsman has the traveler control at his elbow when on the high side in higher b...

the cunningham pictures finally arrived. it is a 2-part setup, sorta hard to describe, but here goes: upper part - bitter end is tied off to ring on mast, from there upwards to hook in sail luff, downward to end in a single block (red part in pics) lower part - bitter end is tied to becket on black ...

we put an extra cheek block on top of the port side line sorter and run the vang (5:1 on vang) back to the cockpit on cabin top.

I rig the whole thing outside the boom and drop it in from the aft end, then I need small hands to attach the double with becket to the mast end of boom.

I just re-rigged ours this year to give us more purchase. Someone linked to file on our site. Thanks! To get a bit more purchase, we have added a second cascade just above the tensioning tackle, giving us 16:1. I haven't updated the drawing in the file yet, but you can sort it out.
