Hello Racer X, Slapshot is down in Charlotte Harbor. She survived Hurricane Charley and has been racing as recently as the end of last year. I heard a rumor she may be for sale again. Google the Punta Gorda Sail Club for the web site and check the race results last year. I think the guy that has her...

toe rail
We had severe toe rail damage on one of our boats caused by last summers hurricanes. I ordered it from Chuck and replaced the entire port length. The job took us less than an hour with two people. The rail is a perfect match, something that just can't be found anywhere else. Chuck is a gentleman and...

Blain, Many thanks for the help in Charleston. You guys are great. Tell Doug we'll see him at the Bowen Island Restaurant next year (on Saturday night), if we don't catch you sooner. Thanks for the photos. We were too busy to pull out the camera. Sail fast my friends. Dave "Rooster Tail"

backstays
I would love to see this option. I have run both the class wire and the dyneema 75 and have found no difference in performance except for reduced wear on the sail. We had more than a dozen races on a new main with the dyneema with no sign of wear. Two races at the NOOD in St. Pete with the wire and ...

Mid-winters
Hello Greg, Rooster Tail #496 will be there. We are planning to arrive very early Thursday. I noticed the ramp is only good for launching within a two hour window before and after high tide. Do you see any problems there and are there alternatives if the ramp is crowded? Thanks. Dave

ramp
Tim, We are planning to use the ramp you are referring. Take an immediate left after entering the marina and it snakes around to the ramp. We plan to be there early on Thursday if you need some help. I am unaware of any ramp alternatives but I will be checking in the next few days. Dave
