Hi- I believe at original tiller handles are straight. I have often thought about switching to one with a rise. I think it might be better when standing. It might provide a little more clearance while tacking.

Keel Winch

My starboard halyard/keel winch is frozen. Any advise on repair/parts/replacement of this Lewmar two-speed self tailer #16 would be appreciated.

Keel Lift Line Replacement

I replaced the keel line last year with 3/8'' Yale Yacht Braid. The line is showing signs of wear after one season. I am looking for some advice on brand/style/type of line others have used.

Spreaders

The spreaders on my mast have a definate downward slant. On closer examination it appears the attachment bracket might be fastened to the mast upside down. The tang is about 5 degrees below a horizontal. I know the spreaders should be about 5 degrees above the horizontal. Has anyone experienced this...

7.9 Toe Rail

Does any one have experience removing the toe rail. I removed the screws last fall, but the rail seems to firmly imbedded. I have some leaking do to a minor collison and a dent in the toe rail. I am planning to bring the toe rail to an aluminum welding shop (prop shop) for repair.

Thanks,

I have reviewed the engine manual and I do not believe that th D7 has a glow plug. Starting problems may be related to poor compression. Have you tried adjusting the...
