I took the old, brittle, broken (from several years of exposure to the Texas Gulf Coast) hatch slides to the local metal fab shop and had new ones made from aluminum. A little heaver but will never have to replace (in my lifetime). Powder coat is advisable prior to first use.

Count me in... that last price I was quoted was $700.00 and mine is cracked almost all the way through.

Thanks Yellow Jacket! No extra Mast Shoe and on the hatch question what I meant to ask was about the curved companionway sliding cover.I did also replace the forward hatch with a Bomar that fit nicely at about $250.00

Anyone know of a lexan polycarbonate companionway hatch that might be available? I am bringing hull 386 back to life and the existing hatch is severely broken. I see there were some produced late last year that were special order. Tierra Yachts will produce but the production price is now $600.00. I...
