S2 7.9 Meter Class Association

Racing in Big breeze and Big waves, port speader broke coming up the back side of a huge roller WTF?This is a new mast a year old and the speader bar broke why?I still have the old speader bar from the last broken mast , has this happend to any one else or is hull 465 cursed?

I have one that I have used cruzin never in a race,I like using a 155 and a my workin jib off my SJ 21 as a stay sail it has worked well for point to point racing.

My good friends at Wormley creek did a fantansic job on the keel picking her up tonight going sailing!Scott over at Taira told them how the board was made and its better then new!

keel is not as bad as we thought,the boat yard is one of the best in the chesapeake.Rocks on the other hand is very rare we have a sandy bottom the Chesapeake bay bride tunnel dumped HUGE rocks at the tunnel islands 60 yards away from years past!

The boat had to be pulled out of the water.the lower half has a huge chunk missing and the upper trailing edge is gone!Six inchs down on the trailing edge has a crack half way to the front of the keel :( We hit the rock going about six knots and spun around and hit the rock side to?my question is if...

Not so fast my mast was only up for two weeks before I took it up to the turkey shoot went to take the bolt out bam nothing.I had to leave the shoe in the mast saddle take a hack saw to the bolt after tring to heat the bolt with MAP gas and PB blaster then taking a air hammer to remove the bolt from...

Use Anti-seaze or it WILL be real hard to remove next time.

Well then I have bought all Norths in the past but I am not to happy with my main.You have to load the back stay vang sheet and add a ton of cunningham on to make it look good.Should I get a North 3DL and hope it fits better or try a Dolye Kevlar main Thanks,Carey
