Re: Removing interior lining

Thanks for the input. Sadly, I need to remove the head liner (ceiling carpet) due to dirty boot prints and spilled epoxy from when the boat was upside down.

I hear ya with the Acetone. It also leaves a film unlike denatured alcohol. Hardly ever use the stuff anymore.

Removing interior lining

It's my understanding that it is class-legal to take out the interior lining (carpet) and paint the hull. I'm debating doing this and was wondering if anyone has and what the pros and cons would be. Two concerns I have are; will it turn the interior into an echo chamber? And will the interior be not...

Anybody from fleet #5 out there?

My family and I are seriously thinking about moving to the Traverse City area. Wondering if anyone has info on fleet #5. We're hoping for an active racing fleet.

Thanks,

Allen

Re: New Life line length and source?

Looking to replace life lines. Am I correct in understanding that there is a class-legal non stainless material available? If so, does anybody know if it's lighter than stainless, the name of the material, and where it can be purchased?

Thanks,
Allen

Re: Daggerboard slot cover

Mine is clear plastic. Lightweight and allows a visual of the centerboard/block and tackle.

Just got the same e-mail saying that my dues have been returned. It shouldn't be that difficult. :(

Re: 2009 CCR's - Whose In?

Lift Ticket #513 is available for charter. Family won't let me get away.
Boat is race ready and a relatively short commute to the event. Contact me if interested.

Re: 7.9 Hull Line Drawing

That's a shame. Thanks for the effort Tim. Much appreciated. I know a guy who made a 1/2 hull model of the old Sadie Hawkins (#13). I'll ask him if he has a copy of the drawings.

Re: 7.9 Hull Line Drawing

I too would be interested in getting my hands on a hull drawing to make a 1/2 hull and perhaps a replica model.

Me too! Wasn't sure how to add the application info so I added the info on Paypal's "instruction to seller".

Re: current rigging specs

A bit off topic but does anyone know where to get the little rubber yokes that hold the shrouds from slipping out of the mast? Mine are getting a bit dry rotted and I'd like to have a couple spares.

Thanks,
Allen

Amen to that. The Saudi's don't make kevlar (as far as I know) and they only get me for a gallon of their sauce each season. :D
