Re: S2 7.9 Tiller

Check Rudder Craft for a replacement tiller. I ordered a varnished one 2 years ago and it looks great. Web site: https://ruddercraft.com I think this is the tiller I ordered, but they have a few choices to select from https://store.ruddercraft.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=182_59&...

Looking for replacement hatch & companionway board guides

I'm look for a source to replace the black hatch guides that fit on top of the cabin top and the vertical guides that hold in the companionway boards. I recall seeing older posts recommending where to get these, but I can't find them now. If anyone has a suggestion, please let me know. Thanks, Jim

S2 7.9 Memorial Trophy

At Crescent's regatta on August 25, we're planning on giving a perpetual trophy in memory of Dave Grover (Prime Time) for the first place boat in the S2 7.9 class. If anyone has a S2 7.9 trophy that we can repurpose for Dave's memorial trophy, please let me know. With the regatta only 2 weeks away, ...

Re: Jack Pole (Stern Mast Support)

I've attached a few pictures of the mast support for my boat. The stern support has three brackets which allow the mast to be level for trailering or lifted up for a steeper angle when the boat is covered for the winter. The rollerblade wheels really make the mast slide back n' forth easily. The ste...

Re: Rudder pivot hole elongated

Thanks for the information on repairing the pivot hole on the rudder. I filled the the pivot hole with West System G-Flex epoxy and will wait 2 to 3 days for the expoxy to fully cure inside. Since the pivot hole on my rudder was so wide, I want to make sure I re-drill at exactly the right spot. I've...

Rudder pivot hole elongated

The pivot hole is on the rudder is getting elongated, and I'm wondering if this is bad enough to require fixing. See the attached pics.

I'd image the answer is probably a firm yes, so if anyone has suggestions on how to fix this, please let me know.

Thanks,

Jim

Rudder Repair

My rudder had hairline cracks along the trailing edge that expanded to about 1/4 inch when I used a dremel tool to dig out the cracks. With the cracks now about 1/4", is epoxy with a high density filler the right way to go to repair this? A picture is below to show the opening along the trailin...
