Wallenpaupack, PA... replaces my Capri 25.

Edited: To say, that I just paid my membership dues here... my association membership dues for the Capri 25 expire next year around June... so for a while I'll be an association member of both... Now if I can just get out of doing their Tech Editor function.

They had me doing the technical editor position for the mainsheet magazine, a brand magazine for Catalina owners. Interestingly enough, I DID get to report on not 1 but 2 Singlehanded transpac Capri 25 owners and their attempts.

Boat one broke a boom, busted 2 keel bolts, and 2 tiller pilots, and STILL managed to get to the start line (from WA to CA self delivered,)...

Boat two busted a spreader, and the owner jury rigged it and sailed on to complete last in his class, not bad considering how bad the weather was for this year, and he was able to finish at all.

Otherwise I'm not looking for any more technical work (I got plenty with my 9to5 job that isn't, as the IT Manager for 4 companies). I have exactly 6 months to get this boat actually ready to race for next year. Now if only I can up my crew by 1 or 2.

Chris,
Don't believe that list is up to date.
There used to be 6 in Melbourne. Now mine is the only one.
One owner moved to Ohio and 4 others moved to larger cursing boats.
Racing on the east coast of Florida is really dead.

Chris,
did you use the data at: http://www.s279.org/membership/ownersdisp.php? That is the owners registry that I try to keep up to date. I haven' done any analysis on it, yet.
Thanks,

Hey Tim, Yes, I transferred the list into excel and sorted it in various ways. There were some duplicates where I just took the most recent owner listing. Would you like the Excel file or is there anything else I can do to crunch the data?

Hey Larry, Do you have any interest in trailering over to the east coast, if so where do you prefer? I am putting together an S2 Clearwater regatta in September. So far I have 5 Florida boats. Any interest in attending?

There's one in Vallejo, CA...used to be in Oregon. I can ask the owner for the hull #.

Last week I saw two for sale in Puget Sound on Craigslist. One was in Tacoma...outboard boat, lifting keel, non-stock rudder. This week another one popped up. This weeks there's one listed in the town of Otis Orchards...I have no idea where that is. I e-mailed to ask about the hull #.

The inboard diesel one is in Pender Harbor, BC, Canada. That's Vancouver. I e-mailed about that one, as well.

Got a reply already...

====================

It's Hull #132. Lifting Keel with Outboard. My understanding is it was bought new and sailed on Flathead Lake in Montana. Then sold and it moved to Lake Washington. I bought it from the third owner who sailed out of Lewiston, Idaho, racing it on the Snake and Columbia Rivers. I've sailed and raced it on Lake Pend Oreille in Northern Idaho. I was a member of the class for several years so they should have it on their roster.

Cheers,
