S2 7.9 Meter Class Association

I recently got a tacktick compass. I only used it for one race, liked the unit, but have some questions. I was wondering if users just use the automatic setup, or do you manually set the tacking angle. Whether you use manual or automatic, what tacking angle do you use/get.

I ask since during a light air race with current against the wind we had a smaller tacking angle than expected after using the auto setup. It was fine until the current went slack(everything was a header). I think I'd rather have the angle preset so I don't have to worry about it before each race.
