Rudder Cheek plate bushings

I am refurbishing my rudder assembly-cleaning /painting cheekplates, new fasteners-refair rudder etc. and would like to replace the 6" discs that fit between cheek plates and the rudder. They appear to be HDPE about 10-12 mil thick. Does anyone know where replacements can be found? Additionally, the pin that holds the rudder down is in sad shape due to a few groundings. It is 5/16" and about 5" long. Any ideas on replacements other than SS rod stock?
Thanks for any ideas

I've replaced mine with cut outs from plastic lids. Lids from buckets of drywall putty seem to work best. Probably not the "right" kind of plastic, and they do wear out, but I think they function more as a spacer than a bearing.

Early threads, perhaps on the old site, had concluded that CDs worked fine, but having used them, only for a season each. I'm not so sure it's importsnt that they be Yani but it can do no harm.
If you have the stock cheeks the pin is 5/16 w/ a clear dimension of 3.5 and available from Anapolis sailing.

I tried the CD fix and felt the 1" less diameter left a little play in the rudder. They also only lasted one season. This year I ordered a 1' square sheet of 1/16" acetal copolymer from McMaster-Carr and cut some 6" discs. Time will tell, but it looks like a better solution.
