Trailer

I am a high school teacher with no sailing budget.
A guy in NC donated a trailer to us, but it is in very bad shape - so bad that we decided to not put the boat on it even for the winter haulout. I had to make some repairs to it just to get it back to CT. We had hoped to use it for a template, but have yet to find someone willing to build a new one donating their time.

We would like to make it to some of the regattas, but can't for obvious reasons.

If anyone has a serviceable trailer who is buying a new one we would like to find another one. We have a tax id for a non-profit organization so the value you place on it is a deduction.

Hi Dave

I think that Jeff Bonvaillet (in MI) has plans for a 'do it yourself' trailer. Could make a very interesting project for shop class.

Sorry Jeff

I forgot that you're just an honorary 'Youpper'. :D
Do you recall who made their own trailer? Not Jessie, somebody else.

Well, whomever it was, I hope they will post here.
Thanks for the efforts so far.

I built a trailer for my S2 7.9 a few years ago. I do not have very good drawings but I do remember how I did it. If anyone has an interest they can Email me at "bernoulli59@aol.com" .
