I pulled the daggerboard for the first time on saturday during a club bouy race. The wind was real light (2-5kts) and the race was short (2.6nm). Most of my fellow class (PHRF 179 and up) members think it's a waste of time to pull the daggerboard. Well, I finished 13min 35 secs ahead of the second place boat (201 rater). It is my larger margin of victory since I've owned my boat.
