draft of rudder

Post by richrand »

Hi,

Does anyone know offhand what the draft of the 7.9 is with board up and rudder down? I'm looking at a mooring for the season and they tell me that all they have available is one for a 4' draft.

As a few have talked about already, I don't like the idea of cranking the board up a foot and leaving it. I like it all down or all up.

thanks,

I measured scumline down on my rudder before fairing it last year and it was 41 inches, you'r right you deffinatly don't want to leave the board in a partial down position for any great length of time is the area usually pretty calm, if there were no other options for moaring you could leave it all the way up and pinned

we slip our boat all summer in about 6' of water, and we always bring the board all up.
