Vote on two items for the SI's at the Class Championship

Post by Tom Elsen »

Please vote on the following questions for the 2007 CCR, by posting a response.
-----------------------------------------
1) Should we ammend the SI's such that most penalties are 360's, not 720's ? This would NOT include any infractions
- Inside the two boatlength circle
- That involve contact between hulls, rigging or sails
- Nor would it include OCS's, measurement infractions or Rule 69 voilations.

2) What's the latest we should start the last race on Thursday and Friday? Note that the breeze typically doesn't settle in until about 11 AM during the late summer in Milwaukee.

3) How should we handle throw outs?
Allow one? Allow one if 5 or more races are complete? Allow none?
(Note: Nine races are scheduled for the regatta. Up to four may be held on any day.)

Your vote matters.
Best wishes,
Tom

OK I'll get it started!

1. Leave it at 720.

2. 16:30

3. 1 throw out if we get in 6 races, 2 throw outs if we get in 8 or 9.

Where is everybody? 2 weeks to go and only 4 boats registered!

Keep the 720 rule

16:30

1 throwout if 6 races are sailed.

It looks like Magic will be bowing out next week with only 4 boats signed up to date. We'll make that decision early next week.

I talked to Milwaukee yesterday and they have not updated the web site due to a problem. There were 12 boats registered as of noon on Wednesday and she had several in the mail which had not yet been entered in her spreadsheet. They hoped to have the web site updated by tonight.

By the way, at least four boats coming from Wayzata; Skyhawk (Mootz and Doyle), Hard Tack (Tom Elsen's new boat), The Blur (Mike Dean,No boat name is safe with these guys), and Song Bird (Roger and Dave, these guys are fast)
