2005 Class Championship Regatta

Post by Tom Elsen »

The Board of Director of the S2 7.9 Class Association, The Racine Yacht Club, and host / organizer Paul Tobias invite you and your crew to ...

THE 2005 S2 7.9 CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP REGATTA
August 17- 20 2005
Racine Yacht Club, Racine Wisconsin

Great news everyone. RYC is a great club and a terrific location. And best of all, it's an easy drive for almost anybody in the Midwest.
- 90 minutes from Chicago
- Less than 4 hours from central WI, IL and west MI
- 6 hrs or less from Minneapolis, Detroit, St. Louis, Lake Carlyle, Louisville
- 7 from Cleveland
- 9 from Nashville
- 13 from Annapolis

Remember there will be Gold Fleet, Silver Fleet and Inboards as well.

Soooo....set your schedule. We've chosen the dates to minimize conflict with back-to-school or with other holidays. Discuss it with the crew this season. Set it as your #1 regatta for 2005. Grease up those trailer bearings. We'll see you there for a GREAT event!
Best wishes,
Tom

We are planning our budget for the CCR and wonder if the entrance fees have been set yet?
Thanks,

Is the 17th for weighing and measuring or racing? Suggestions on hotels?
We will see you there...
Thanks!

20 hours and 1135.13 miles from Cape Cod.
If I leave now I should make the start line by the five minute
horn.

Just wanted to try again - we are needing to book hotel rooms and schedule vacation days. Is the 17th for weighing and measuring or racing? Suggestions on hotels?
We will see you there...
Thanks!

Hey Karen

The current plan calls for weighing, measuring and a practice race on the 17th. My guess is that check-in / weigh-in will also be available on the afternoon of the 16th (that's not certain), but likely not on the 18th.
Best wishes,
Tom

If we weighed in at last year's CCR, what's the drill to get a weight certificate?
