2007 St Petersburg NOOD Feb, 16-17

Post by bernoulli »

I see that Sailing World has the 2007 St Pete NOOD dates listed as Feb. 16,17,18. This has been a great winter regatta that everone can enjoy for about 1/10 the cost of Key West. Who is planning to go in 2007?

I'll try to get the boat ready by then, at least the sails and trailer are ready to go!

Registration is open on the Sailing World Website. So far, Rebel and Instigator are registered. With the temperature in the upper 40's in the upper mid-west, you got to be getting the itch to go racing. Get on-line and get registered. St. Pete is a great venue and the racing has always been well run. Let's see if we can get 15 boats on the starting line.

Bama Slammer #508 will be at St. Pete. Registration is in the mail.
Consider keeping your boat in FL and come back down for the Conquistador Cup Regatta on Charlotte Harbor on March 10th&11th.
Contact me for details.

At least I hope he is. Didn't we have an edit post function here once upon a time.

Anyways - if anyone else is looking for a ride, I just had a late cancellation and have 1 spot available. Email me or send me a private message.

First time forum user. I am looking for a ride for St. Pete. I sailed with Instigator last year, had a good time. Call 941-276-2959 or email tonym@get-a-bud.com

St Pete is looking fantastic. 10 boats and counting. Remember that early registration is til the 30th of Jan. Save the 50 bucks for something important like inflatable sheep.

Unfortunately, Horizon will only be there in spirit. Skipper insisted on getting his knee fixed. What a wuss. We'll be watching the results from up north.

Hey where's the beef.... I mean Chicken. Get registered you redneck!

Gotta go and be depressed. Have fun ya'll

Bob (MOPAL), For those of us stuck in the GWN, we should start a pool. I'm backing Mike Elliott. I crewed for him in the '98 St. Pete NOODs and had one of the best times racing ever. Anybody want to give me odds? I also notice that Grrr... is the only boat that is rated. Of course this doesn't matter for the NOODs.

Technically I'm not even rated - I've always used the boat's one design rating and sailed with my weights and class sails. I've never gotten a DRYA PHRF cert

But hey, there's a blank on the entry form for it, and I might as well fill it in.

Crew available for St. Pete NOOD 2007

Post by Tigerlily »

Mike (Bernoulli) - Do you need an extra hand again this year? I've got quite a bit more sailing experience on my S2 this past year and would like to crew for you or someone else at the St. Pete NOOD's.
My boat is currently dry docked for some serious bottom work.
