2009 Annapolis NOOD dates

Which race whould be better?with a inboard boat annapolis or charleston? both are near the same time?do inboards get a credit?at the NOODS?

The inboards can weigh 200 lbs less than the outboard boats at annapolis (4400 vs 4600). There is no time credit. Charleston would be the same if racing in an OD class. We haven't had an OD class at Charleston for a couple of years. Charleston is a nice regatta, but you'll be motoring the 7.9 out to the ocean course at Charleston. IMO, Annapolis NOOD is 'the' 7.9 race on the east coast.

Peregrine will be at the Annapolis NOOD again this year. And we'll be leaving her down there after the regatta as we are moving from Massachusetts to the Eastern Shore of Maryland this summer.

Misfit will be there again this year. Sailing out of Rock Hall and Oxford on the Eastern Shore.

Tom, we would like keep the powerboat in Chestertown on the river and put the S2 7.9 in Rock Hall. I'd love to talk to you about marinas, local knowledge, etc.

Hi Scott, I remember meeting you at last years NOOD. I'm excited to possibly have another 7.9 in town. I dry sail my boat during the season. There is dry storage with mast up, convenient to a landing as one option. There are seven marinas in Rock Hall, 6 in protected harbors, minutes from the bay. I'd be happy to give you the scoop. Magic will not be attending Annapolis due to schedule conflicts (sorry..had a lot of fun last year!) but will be sailing Detroit NOOD and Sarnia Canadians.

I have signed up...but it can get cold and rainy during a NorEaster...Great weather to snuggle. Jagger in one hand...favorite inflatable animal in the other. Am I to understand that because of the economic downturn this will be a BYOS regatta?

If so, I will go online and order my own critter right away. It does seem a little weird however...it would be like one of the family.
