I talked with Dave Grover (Prime Time) today and they will be racing at the Detroit NOOD. He said that there are a couple of new 7.9 owners at Crescent Sail YC, and he hopefully that they will be interested in sailing the Detroit NOOD also.

Come on Southeast Michigan (and southern Ontario) 7.9 owners, lets get the boats out of the barns and storage lots, and get them on the starting line for the Detroit NOOD May 29 -31. I won't discriminate against the Holland area boats either, hook up the trailers and make the 3 hour trip over to Detroit. We also let the Nashville guys across the state line and would like to see the make the jaunt up to the North.

Any body with a pulse out there??? 6 weeks till Detroit Nood and only two boats registered. Any response at all??? Yes, we are going, or No way, can't stand Detroit and Lake St. Clair, any response at all. Some feed back would be nice. There have to be at least 30 boats with in a 50 mile radius of Detroit, some one must be interested in racing, I hope!!!

Come on people, it is getting very lonely on the registration list for Detroit NOOD!!!!

If people would only sign up, we would may have 6 boats already. Rebel, Prime Time, Money Shot (?), Hunting Party (?), Relentless (?), Freqeunt Flyer (???), Magic (??). You can register on-line and send a check later. If no one signs up, we don't have a chance in hell of getting a class. Register on-line, if we don't get a class, you are out nothing.

If we don't get starts at regattas like this, it only hurts the class and eventually drives the value of our boats down to nothing. If people need crew, post on this forum. There are a lot of good S2 sailors in the Detroit area, that I am sure would like to sail the event.

Magic was registered early along with Rebel but heard of no further interest on this forum or elsewhere as of last week so I withdrew. The event is 4 weeks away and nobody still has not committed or has stated interest or has asked for assistance! I'll have to pass on this regatta.

Relentless is planning on going. I am trying to get 2 boats from Grosse Ille to make the trip up the river. Come on everyone, no one design starts at the big regattas=loss of value for your boat.

Hellllooo;
Ok so I have registered.
The next step is to send a cheque and confirm the crew.
The first step was the hardest.
Let's go sailing.

So we now have two.
Chris Craig, are you going to be able to make it with Relentless??
Dave Grover is suppose to be signing up Prime Time.
Money Shot--- if you sign up and Chris gets the two boats from Grosse Isle, we could have 7.
Anybody hear from Bob Huff on Killer Leprachaun???
Spike -- any luck with you getting some one to sail Frequent Flyer??
Paul Latour -- Can we get you to show up with your new hull #544?? If you need crew, let me know.
We are getting there, slowly. Lets keep the momentum going.
Tom Elsen, how about bring Hard Tack over from Chicago?? You are the Pres.
