I just put up two short clips on my web site, www.horizontrue.com
The first is a port starboard crossing with Itch, on the race that didn't count. The second is a late start tactic, (on purpose this time). They are fun to watch, sorry about the wet camera lense. Jeff, Skyhawk,#250

port-starboard incident
uh, Mootz, just took a gander at the video you posted of the port-starboard incident with Itch-- and what was it you were flagging? didn't like his brand of aftershave? somebody on Itch smoking a nasty cigar? just warming up the old flag for the regatta? sure looked like lots of room between the boats when he tacked. remind me to work to the other side of the course from y'all (of course, when we're 20 lengths behind, I guess it's academic).
Drake, with the wide angle lense it always appears further away. Plus no one hailed to hold course. In the end this was the race that was abandoned. Paul wrote me and call me some other names after he viewed the video. I wish I could come down to Nashville and play with you guys again, sounds like a great regatta lined up! Jeff

Video & photos
Hey guys
This is exactly why video / photo evidence, especially that shot from onboard one of the yachts involved in a protest, is very very very rarely admitted in a hearing. In fact, most judges will refuse such evidence in all cases. Depth of field (read 'distance between yachts') is almost impossible to determine, as any clever photographer knows very well. You can make an inch look like a yard,or vice versa. And the limited frame / field of view cannot capture all of the action. The only way around this problem is a direct overhead shot.
Forgot to add: All of the above is not to discount Jeff's Horizon True. It's a terrific invention. Shoots great footage. Surprizing to see how things "really" go onboard during tacks, jibes and roundings. Wow!.
