REBEL will be there. I have heard rumors that Bad Company and Relentless are planning to sail also. With Flyer and Hunting Party, that makes 5. There are plenty of boats in the local vicinity (Detroit, Port Huron, Mt. Clemens, Bay City, and Windsor) that there should not be any reason that we can not attract at least 10 boats for this regatta. Sarnia is a great place to sail. Let see some more participation.

The S2 7.9 Canadian Championship was one of the best regattas I have attended in a long time. This was the Canadian Championship for the Ultimate 20 class as well. I travelled the boat 1300 miles to Florida and got to sail 4 races, went 700 miles to North Carolina and got to sail 4 races, went 600 miles to Annapolis and sailed 5 races. Stayed home in Sarnia and we raced 12 races in 3 days!! We had the skipper's meeting at 11:30am on Friday and went out and sailed 5 races on Friday. On Sunday we sailed 3 races and were in and boats were all put away by 1:30pm. The weather was outstanding, 10-20 knots of wind all 3 days, the race committee was great, and the accomodations (for the out of town boats) and social events were good as well. The racing was really close. Although we only had 5 - 7.9's, there were many races where the top 3 places were separated by only one or two boat lengths. Hats off to Team Boston (Spike and Tac) they were victorious in the regatta. This was a good warm up for the CCR. I only wish we could have drawn a larger fleet. I would highly recommend marking this regatta on your calanders for next year.
