St. Pete NOODs 08
Feb 14-17 2008, I got a call today asking if they loaned me some sails, would I drive my barge (216's nick name) to St Pete, I said hell yes I will, I hope the air is heavy, because the crew will be! were only driving one truck, so I think some of them will have to ride in the boat, who elce is planning on going??

St. Pete is on the calendar for Rebel. By far the best Nood Regatta of the season. Hopefully we won't have to drive through another blizzard, 4 hours at 40 mph in 4 wheel high was not fun. By the way, we can change a leaf spring in less than 2 hours, had one break on the way home from Nashville. Good thing we carry spare leaf springs and all the hardware plus the jacks to change one out.

there had better not be a blizzard, I'm towing with the 2WD dually!, if there is any snow predicted well leave early in a break, as for the leaf springs I think Tom Line broke one on the way there last year, that makes me think about replacing them all ( we'v been all over MI this summer with no problems but a breal down some states away would not be fun)

John, sorry to hear about the spring fix. I hope the trailer is all set now. Magic arrived in St. Pete yesterday afternoon after Nashville with no issues although this past spring a tire broke loose and rolled away into the fields at 65mph.
We look forward to seeing you folks in February!

I was at Kent sails today the owner and I were talking; he is crewing on a J 35 at Key West race week, the owner is TRAILERING it down from Michigan, the next time I whine about trailering the S2, I'll think of them, raise the mast, back down the ramp and be on the lake in an hour without having to look for a crane and a travel lift!
