I just want to clarify that the Harken Carbo Foil is not illegal for the class.

It is NOT carbon - it is a high density graphite inpregnated plastic that is significantly lighter and more durable than the good 'ol tuff luff. However, because it is significantly lighter, I want to confirm that the 7.9's will allow the foil - some other one design classes are not.

Maximum width for headfoil extrusions is .125 feet, (1 1/2 inches).

Does the Harken measure in?

Which Harken Carbo Foil are you using? When I talked to them they said they wouldn't have the correct foil for a 7.9 until Fall at the earliest. THANKS

Harken won't have a luff that uses the #5 tape that my genoa uses until later this year (according to them). Currently they only support the #6. This was just a question for the future.
