The electrical system must remain as supplied by the manufacture.
I would like to upgrade the interior lighting on Hunting Party #448.I would like to replace the old incandescent lights with new halogen or LED fixtures.

Wow. Mark and Bob, you guys really dig in to the rules. Maybe we should change this one to make it more clear.
The intent is to keep people from stripping their boat (by removing the electrical system, panels, batery, etc) Replacing components of that system, including lights etc. is no problem.

Suggestion
The rule should probably list the original electrical system as the minium required for class racing with no limit on upgrades. I added a solar chargerand it was the best money I ever spent.
