Has anyone removed the old plastic sending units? These are for the original DataMarine instuments. They have a large elongated plastic "nut" that threads on the inside of the hull, but I can't budge them. I am replacing the old instruments with RayMarine ST60's.
How did you get the nuts off? Did it destroy the old unit? Could you get the old unit out of the hull without too much trouble?
