I plan on replacing my propeller and since I don't race any longer and have considerable barnacle buildup during the season (even with monthly diver cleaning) I'm wondering whether to stay with a two blade f martec folder or consider something else Any suggestions? Thanks

Martec
I replaced my propeller two years ago and this is what I would suggest:
1) Get the geared prop - It is a little more $ and has a little more drag but the prop I have never seems to close unless I dive overboard and close it by hand. We sail in light air and having the prop not folded defeats the purpose of having it.
2) If you have a Yanmar diesel check the size - Martec recommended a different pitch on my new prop and it has worked well. The new prop has more punch than the old one. It works well in chop.
3) Don't bother with the Martec zinc - I purchased the bullet shaped Martec zinc and it gave my prop no protection at all.
