fleck: Lucky guess. I am still negotiating with the seller on a final price, and we're pretty close. I actually had someone in Bacon's call me Friday and offer their Honda O/B in trade for the rebuilt BMW. It would be a great trade for HIM!
Muller is a long time fixture in bay sailing and does good work, and is a pretty good sailor to boot. His boats STINGRAY and VALKYRIE have also earned consistent accolades.
I am actually thinking of having him tackle the mast step and fixing the rest on my own. I have several "gallons" of west system on my fix and repair resume, and should be able to tackle this. The good news is that the bulkhead that the chain plate is attached to is fine, so the work is really just under the no skid - about 2 feet in each direction.
