Lost Mast Shoe / half moon rocker

Post by ccarlton31 »

It fell off the mast somewhere between Chicago and Minneapolis. Does any one have any idea where to get a replacement or have one made. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

First time trailering the boat anyway in four years of ownership. Go figure that three screws fell out. Seems the mast on this boat is cursed.

Thanks.
Chris

OK, it appears that no one knows where to find a replacement. Does any have their mast down now and willing to make a mold or have a few fabriced in case this happens to someone in the future or if you in are near Minneapolis/St. Paul let me do it? I would be willing to cover costs as it is pretty much a must have item for operation. Please PM me.

Surely the original mast manufacturer or S2 can steer someone in the right direction. Who were they?

Wasn't Kenyon the original spar? They're out of business.

Chris, we can get you a shoe to use as a pattern to have reproduced in Minneapolis. Give Jeff Mootz a call or shoot him an email. A guy he uses has a CNC machine that could likely do the work. A lot of people will be retrieving their boats from storage in the next few weeks.
Best wishes,
Tom

Mine is an offshore too. I faxed S2 today and they said "no dice." I have someone lined up to let me borrow their to have it replicated a shop. I am going to have a couple made, but please let me know if you want an extra. Since it is a necessary item that is easy to loose it might be worth having a backup.

Seems offshore is out of the game too.
