Board blocks

After seeing all the posts on dagger board blocks, researching the heck out of it I still have a question. I need to replace the first block (from the winch-not on the fiddle at the board)) as it is severely weathered. It looks to be 1 7/8" in diameter, 3/8" for the pin and 7/16 wide. The only sheaves of this size I can find are through Rig Rite and cost $39.00 plus shipping. I have measured the "block" (if you can call it that) where the sheave pins in and there is plenty of room for a larger sheave. Has anyone replaced theirs with the Schaefer 62-018 sheave (2" x 3/8 pin x 5/8) This costs $7.99 and is available everywhere (i.e.West). Thanks
