Foreseail control on the deck.
On a previous boat I ran a Bungee along both sides for and aft just behind the bow. I had clips in the middle of bungee I could stretch the two bungees and hook together to support the headsail in place until it was time to raise it. Does anyone do something like this on their 7.9? I would appreciate any suggestions on how you keep the jib under control when not raised.

Yes, I did exactly that before roller furling. Still do when boat is set for one-design. My run up to the race area involves a mile or so of river that is frequently churned into white water by powerboats. The bungee arrangement keeps the headsail from getting washed out through the lifelines.
