Check out the Horizon True Camera Mounts for video taping on board while racing! www.horizontrue.com
I don't need one yet, but I'd join in on a group purchase if it happens.
On a related subject, I seem to recall that S2 offered a top hatch hood with instrument pod for the 7.9 as a factory option; has anyone ever seen one? I wouldn't mind having one of those too. It mght help keep my crew from stepping all over the hatch when its open.

Tony D'Andrea is the owner and a friend. Tell him Master Chief Ellis from Brien McMahon High School referred you. His email is tony@selectplastics.com
Good luck with it.

Drilling holes in plexiglass (polycarbonate)
Don't forget to use a special plastics drill bit, too. A standard wood bit has a different entry angle and may crack the plexi. Plastics drill bits have a point less than 90 degrees, wood bits are around 132 degrees.
Any plastics supplier has them in stock. Also, a coarse jig saw blade works better than fine, since there is a tremendous heat generation and the plastic can melt while you are cutting through it.
I completely replaced the plexi on the cabin of a 37 foot sailboat (twice)
and learned a little each time. Also, don't forget to use Sikka flex black UV caulk when bedding the plexi in the hatch frames.
