Cushion Cleaning

Post by gris-gris »

What's the best way to clean the original cushions on my 1986 #480 (tan with blue crosshatch) ?
They are in surprisingly good shape, except that several have lost their zipper slider.
What kind of material is it anyway?

An antique car buff across the street turned me on to using Laquer Thinner to remove oil and grease from my cloth car seats. Be sure to try a small spot on the bottom surface before attempting wholesale cleaning.

An antique car buff across the street turned me on to using Laquer Thinner to remove oil and grease from my cloth car seats. I have since used it on my cushions. Don't have any idea if my covers are original or not. I know the last two owners kept them off the boat. Be sure to try a small spot on the bottom surface before attempting wholesale cleaning.
