New New mast tubes
At the Class general meeting we discussed finding a provider for new mast blanks. How's this going? I came across a spar builder at the Strictly Sail show in Chicago who may be a source.

Re: New New mast tubes
Hey Tim
Paul Latour is working on this. A couple of the guys from KY are helping with technical expertise as well. I know they've made some good progress but nothings been decided.
The good news is that there isn't as big of a rush as we'd thought. NewJSI gave me incorrect inventory information from their stock in FL. We've got several more tubes than what I indicated at the CCR this year, enough to give us another few years (from now) before we before we'd likely run out of tubes.
The issue is the extruder. From everything I've seen Dave his team at NewJSI are doing a great job on the fabrication. Running extrusions is not what they do though. It's a pretty specialized business, just as you'd expect.
