From the photo, it would appear that you have the original 3:1 system. Most owners have updated to a 4:1 system be replacing the lower block that is mounted on the centerboard tang with a fiddle block that has a larger diameter pulley on the bottom and a smaller one just above. Then you can lead the end of the rope down the starboard side of the upper block, up the port side a then either tie it off with a stopper knot on a bale that is welded underneath the baseplate (like mine) or alternately through a hole drilled through the baseplate. Garhauer makes a nice (but pricey) kit for this that is all stainless, or you could just get the appropriate fiddle block from your favorite supplier.

I have two blocks, one on each side of the tang.

Re: update for lifting system for keel/ dagger board
Thanks,
Anyone can provide actual pictures of installation.
My understanding is, in any case you are putting the screw where the shackle pin would go normally?
If we put 2 blocks side by side, we have to shim in between?
Any part number you would recommend? I have found Harken 2621 with a working load of 792 lbs, is that enough?
Again thank you all for your patience, we are the only one in the area with such boat but we love it so far

I think I have the 4:1 Mine appears to be a stacked double block (like the top of the mainsheet system).
You can sort of make it out from this picture. You'll note that the line terminates at the top, not the bottom with 4:1

Garhauer sells a set of stainless steel blocks specifically for the 4:1 upgrade on our boats. I installed it and love it. Give them a call.

Could you possibly post a picture ? I have a 'home made' setup. Works but could be better.
Thanks.
Thanks.
