Replacement Keel Lifting Rope Length

Post by Whiteaad »

Hello!
Does anyone know the length of the original keel lifting mechanism rope? I am looking to order a replacement before the spring so will not have a chance to remove my existing rope and measure.
Thanks!

I believe it's in the owners manual available on the class website. Looks to be 27' which is likely for the stock configuration, probably need another 10'+ if you have the upgraded block\tackle.

the thing is that your board hardware (blocks, etc) may not be exactly original. . mine are not.

I would pin the board up, take out the old line, measure it, and THEN buy the new line (add at least a foot for gp's)

don't buy line that is of more diameter than you need.

the greater the diameter is, the more friction there is, and the easier it is to get hung up
