This weekend I've been refitting the boat to get ready for racing. I pulled the port chainplate so I could epoxy the deck hole.
I was very suprised when I removed the sink and found a piece of plywood inside, fiberglassed to the bottom of the boat. The bolts for the chainplate passed through this. I assume that plywood is like the bulkhead on the starboard side.
Anyway, the fiberglass had completely detached from the plywood, even thought it doesn't look like any water intrusion ever took place. Has anyone else seen that happening?
