Bent Spin Pole

I managed to custimize my spin pole recently, the bend is not to bad but I should get it fixed or repaired. Anybody have any experience with repairing them? How about the length of the extrusion and the exact inside and outside diameter of the aluminum. I heard you could heat the ends and take them off and replace the aluminum section?
