genoa

Post by Greg Fiegelist »

Going from little one man sailboat to a 7.9 was a big leap. So I have learned a bunch of stuff the last 4 years. But what the heck sailing is sailing no matter what the size boat. I have never bought a sail in my life until now.
After hoisting the main and dousing the Johnson 9.9 we are under way, but the real power was with that old furled genoa. Once unfurled the boat came alive and plied lake Erie with spirit. Last time out the thin canvas ripped the last time after three repairs. Hard to give it up, a Rolly Tasker 5 oz dacron has ben the replacement of choice. It looks a durable beater cruising sail to replace it. The price was right after shoping around, but the results won't be realized untill this spring. Has any one had a Rolly Tasker and what do you think?
Thanks, Greg
