Seat Backs

I installed a Vectran back stay and I ran the cleats to each side of the cockpit in the area near the traveler. When I drilled the holes in the back of the seat the glass seemed to be solid. Can anyone confirm if the seat backs are cored?

The aren't cored per se, but they do seem to have a product like or similar to Coremat in them. It's just a composite material that absorbs resin and builds thickness and adds some stiffness. It dosen't absorb water.
